Two Water Pumps Manufactured by Fengqiu Group in the 1990s Now on Display at the Zhejiang Mechanical Industry Museum

On the morning of November 19th, the Zhejiang Mechanical Industry Museum officially opened at the Haining Campus of Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering. Former Zhejiang Provincial Governor Lü Zushan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Association for Science and Technology Wu Chuanyu, Haining Municipal Party Committee Secretary Cao Guoliang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Local Chronicles Compilation Office Dong Yukui, and Deputy Director of the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau Xia Danhe were among the invited guests attending the opening ceremony.

Two water pumps donated by Fengqiu Group in December of last year — both manufactured in the 1990s — were on display at the opening ceremony of the Zhejiang Mechanical Industry Museum.

Dual-Channel Impeller Sewage & Wastewater Submersible Pump (WQ9-22-2.2)

1. Product Performance ParametersFlow rate: 9 m³/h; Head: 22 m; Speed: 2,860 r/min; Passing particle diameter: 25 mm.

2. Product Features: The flow-through components feature a unique design — the impeller uses a dual-channel configuration paired with a well-designed volute casing, resulting in a wide high-efficiency range and full-head (non-overloading) characteristics. The pump can operate efficiently and safely across a wide flow range. It has strong passage capability. The impeller's large-channel anti-clogging design allows the pump to effectively convey liquids containing solid particles up to 25 mm in diameter, impurities, and long fibers. The dual-channel impeller undergoes static balance testing and rotor dynamic balance testing, ensuring vibration-free operation and high reliability. The automatic installation system is well-designed with good structural strength and flexible, simple installation — no pump room construction is required, reducing project costs. High-quality bearings and high-temperature-resistant grease are used, extending the service life of wear parts to over 10,000 hours.

3. Applications: Primarily used for municipal sewage treatment projects, industrial and mining enterprises, hospitals, hotels, restaurants, construction, and other industries for the discharge of various sewage and sludge. Also suitable for farmland irrigation, fish pond cleaning, and pumping of liquid fertilizer and liquid feed.

4. Operating Conditions: Medium temperature not exceeding 40°C; medium density < 1.2 kg/dm³; liquid pH value between 4 and 10; the motor section must not operate above the liquid surface.

5. Awards: In May 1995, the Dual-Channel Impeller Sewage & Wastewater Submersible Pump was recognized as a National New Product.

Energy-Saving Dual-Seal Agricultural Submersible Pump (QX160-6-4)

1. Product Performance ParametersHead: 6 m; Flow rate: 160 m³/h; Voltage/Frequency: 380V/50Hz; Power: 4 kW; Pipe inner diameter: 150 mm.

2. Product Features(1) Uses a three-phase power supply; compact size and light weight. The entire pump unit operates fully submerged in water — no priming is required at startup, there are no suction lift limitations, no pump room or installation base is needed, and it can be used anywhere with simple and convenient operation. (2) Equipped with a startup protection device. When the pump experiences low voltage, overload, or a locked-rotor condition, this protective device automatically cuts off the current to protect the pump.

3. Applications: Primarily used for draining accumulated water at mines, construction sites, and similar locations. Also suitable for long-distance water conveyance, drip irrigation, fountains, and similar applications.

4. Operating Conditions: Suitable media: temperature not exceeding 40°C; volume ratio of solid impurities not exceeding 0.1%; impurity particle size no greater than 0.5 mm; pH value in the range of 6.5–8; suitable for clean water or mildly corrosive wastewater.

5. Awards: In October 1996, the Energy-Saving Dual-Seal Agricultural Submersible Pump was recognized as a National New Product.

It is reported that the Zhejiang Mechanical Industry Museum was approved for establishment in May 2018, with strong support from Lü Zushan, then Vice Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee of the National People's Congress and former Governor of Zhejiang Province. The museum is hosted by the Zhejiang Electromechanical Group, co-organized by Zhejiang Institute of Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, and co-sponsored by the Zhejiang Machinery Industry Federation. Built upon the Zhejiang General Records — Mechanical Industry Records compiled by the Zhejiang Machinery Industry Federation in 2020, the museum follows the concept of combining preservation with use and linking records with exhibitions. It was built in accordance with historical records and continues to document history through its displays. More than 100 exhibits (sets), over 1,000 photographs, and more than 100 textual materials were collected. The museum's exhibition area covers approximately 1,700 square meters, making it the first and only mechanical industry museum in the province.
